Unable to be touched; not solid or real; vague and abstract. That is the meaning of intangible. Our happiness is intangible. Until we lose it. Salary is one thing that makes many of us think that we are deprived of a bigger salary compared to our skills. In this money driven world the pleasure of liking one's work is often offset by monetary comparisons. Many a qualified people feel that somebody with lesser or no qualifications at all is drawing more money. This is where one has to draw a line between the other person and oneself. 'He is He' and 'I am I'. Two persons will never be the same. The disturbing element of comparison must be removed. This can only be done by talking to oneself and not with others. Find out the intangible things in your life and you will be relieved. These include: the free time you get, the time that you can spend with your family, the leisurely and tension free drive to your office, the peaceful weekend, the summer vacations, which otherwise you would not have got had you been working for a company which paid you a hefty salary. You would perhaps then be decorated with a beautiful car, the latest mobile, and all the eye catching gadgets available in this world. But then you would be away from many of the intangible things mentioned above. Determine your priorities. Look 'i'nward and find the peace within. Many of the intangible things are priceless. Good sleep, a smiling face, healthy relations are some of the intangibles that cannot be bought with money. Although money is important, it is like salt - too much of it can cause hypertension.
